We make yurts to order.

We use local straight-grown timber, from sustainably managed woodlands, harvested and milled locally. We prefer to use ash, which grows very straight and grows in abundance in our corner of Britain.

Ash is superbly strong, bends well and has great flexibility - which makes it perfrect for the stresses and strains that a well-loved yurt is destined to experience.

We use oak for our sturdy doorframes, and can offer a choice of softwood or hardwood doors to suit your taste and budget.

Our frames are handfinished and preserved with natural oils.

We work with experienced yurt and tipi canvas makers to provide top quality canvas covers with trim in a choice of colours. Our canvas is of the highest quality, treated to prevent damage from fire, water and rot. Maintained properly, a canvas yurt cover should last season after season. Like any tent however, it does require maintenance and doesn't thrive on neglect!
